Tomlins to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired Mike Tomlin as thier replacement to Bill Cower. Tomlin was the defensive cordinator of the Viking last year, who were 1st in the league in the run.

He announed that he would keep defensive cordinator Dick LeBeau and promote wide reciever coach Bruce  Arians to offensive cordinator.

Out on a High Note

In what might have been Bill Cower’s last game as the Steelers head coach the Steeler defeated the Cinncinatti Bengals in over-time with a 67 yard TD pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes.

Willie Parker had over 130 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also had one very costly fumble. He was about to go into the endzone to complete a 99 yard drive when he fumble at the one. QB Ben Roethlisberger had one touchdown, the game-winner and one INT.

On defense Ike Taylor led the team with six tackles after starting again after being benched mid-season. The team had no sacks or turn-overs, but played a very good game, holding the Bengals to only 17 points.
